The Virginia Horse Center hosts hundreds of equestrian events each year. See Calendar of Events. With a mission to promote all disciplines of equestrian sports, the 600 acres of picturesque grounds hosts a 4,000 seat coliseum, eight barns to accommodate for over 1,200 horses, 19 show rings including two large indoor arenas, cross-country and combined carriage driving courses, campgrounds, and full catering services.

The VHCF also hosts the iconic Rockbridge Regional Fair & Farm Show each year.

Dressage at Lexington is a favorite of east coast dressage riders and breeders. It is one of the largest USDF and USEF recognized dressage shows on the central eastern coast. Riders from training level through Grand Prix compete all three days of the show. Friday features Sport Horse in Hand classes. On Saturday, the horse show entertains everyone with an afternoon of musical freestyle.
