HITS Dressage at Lamplight runs from May through September at its world-class facility in Wayne, Illinois. The 2026 Dressage season will feature four weekends of competition, as well as the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions.

Dressage at Lamplight is dressage show excellence, attracting riders from all over the world to its multiple annual summer dressage shows. Lamplight has developed into one of the premier dressage show venues in the U.S. with its beautiful grounds and world class dressage shows. Lamplight is a must see equestrian venue and every dressage rider and spectator should make it a point to visit and participate at this beautiful horse park.

Lamplight has permanent stabling facilities for 350 horses and permanent base installations for nine horse stabling tents, giving it a total capacity of 1200 stalls, all with water and electricity.

Lamplight Equestrian Center History

Lamplight occupies the property that was once Oaklawn Farm, home to Mark W. Dunham, who in 1885 began breeding and selling prize Percheron horses. During the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, a guests traveled from Chicago to Wayne to see the Dunhams' Percheron horses.

Over the years, the owners added more arenas and developed a beautiful landscaping plan, including gardens and hundreds of trees. Two of the original Dunham family barns were converted into the food service pavilion and show offices. Soon after, permanent judges' booths and a covered spectator seating areas were built.

2026 SHOW DATES at HITS Chicago

Dressage show at HITS Chicago at Lamplight will run on specific dates in May through September. Featuring the addition of the Equines Series held previously at Lamplight, the schedule will include hunter/jumper shows and eight Dressage Shows, including the 2026 USEF Festival of Champions. HITS is excited to bring their horse show expertise and experience to Dressage at Lamplight.
